Editorial Reviews:

Product Description

These are very economical Shock Wave BLACK shin and instep pads. They are very well made of a durable and comfortable elasticized fabric blend. Featuring thick 1/2'' foam padding for solid protection. It's a non-slip fit and holds shape and size through repeated use and washings.

For sizing, we recommend you use your (men's) t-shirt size as a guide. That generally works pretty well unless you're at one end of the bell curve or the other (you're on the thin side or heavy side). Since they are elastic, they do accommodate a range of sizes/diameters.

5 out of 5 stars Nice insteps and good customer service   July 28, 2010

These pads fit nicely for sparring and are especially useful in that they do not slip, do not hinder kicking flexibility, and do not come undone - many others in the class wear pads that are velcro and they spend a lot of time constantly readjusting. Piranha Gear has great martial arts products and great customer service as well.

5 out of 5 stars They're a MMA instep pad   July 26, 2010

Not really much to these but they do the trick. I'm 6'2" about 180lbs and they fit pretty snug even for a large. The padding isn't extremely thick and doesn't have a lot of give. I got kicked in the shin one time and I definitely felt it. Use them enough though and your shins will condition. I'd still recommend them.

4 out of 5 stars Good Protection   March 8, 2010

These pads offer decent protection. They appear to be made well. I find that the pad on my instep always has to be readjusted. Other than that, they are comfortable and do what they claim.

3 out of 5 stars It seems to be better than it really is!   March 5, 2010

When I bought it,

First, the description of this product was good, but reagarding real protection; it doesnt work as suposed to be!

But, never last, cost X Benefit is ok!

1 out of 5 stars Cheap don't buy   February 18, 2010

Doesn't really function well, too unconfortable especially when you sweat in them, will give you rashes. I gave these away...and even then the person gave them away. Not a good product, try a Pyranna Wear they sell on here.
